Christmas Gift Guide 2016 | Shann0n Renae

Hello everyone, 

It's that time of year again... Christmas!! Christmas is my favourite time of the year, but it can get really confusing with what to gift everyone!!

So, I've designed a list that may and hopefully inspire and help you with what to buy your loved ones this year!

Her:

1. Gift sets: Gift sets from places like Mecca and Sephora will really satisfy the makeup lovers. There are so many from brands like Too Faced, Benefit and Tarte for example. You can even find some mini gift sets if you don't want to splurge too much money.

2. Organiser: An organiser or diary for 2017 is the perfect gift as the year winds up and we begin another one! There are so many diaries to choose from. I know Kmart have some luxury looking ones for really cheap or you can get a more expensive and nicer one, the choice is really yours! Another idea is a fitness organizer or weekly planner, I really like these because it can help people be organised and motivated.

3. Polaroid Camera: Polaroid cameras are great, I've wanted to get my hands on one for a really long time. I also love how they come is so many colours, so that you can personally choose a colour specifically for that special someone. Another great thing about Polaroids is that they can capture memories to keep.

4. Fluffy Slides: These damn fluffy slides. These slides are everywhere and are such a trend at the moment. I LOVE AND NEED. 

5. Calvin Klein Set: Something that I am obssessed with is my Calvin Klein set. They literally have the most comfortable underwear I have ever worn ever. If you're stuck with ideas, a set from CK would be the way to go. 

Him:

1. Go Pro: If you have a bit more money to spend on him this Christmas get him a GoPro. GoPro's are seriously so great for anyone and can be used for anything. It's definitely on my list.

2. Watch: A special watch for someone is always a great idea. And, they also price differently, depending on what brand or style you want to get. They are also such a practical gift and, of course your boy will love it.

3. Branded Underwear sets/socks: Boys love this stuff! A really nice set or underwear or socks like Tommy Hilfiger or Calvin Klein, can make him feel super special. Boys don't really splurge on big brands for underwear or socks, so this would be a great present idea.

4. UE boom: Portable Speakers are also really handy to have. UE Boom is the brand I recommend to everyone. They are so easy to transport and have great sound quality and battery power. UE Boom also have 2 different styles that you can look into depending on your price range.

5. Pen: If you want to get your loved one something a bit more special, a really nice pen is the way to go. Hugo Boss have some really nice ones, and I'm sure there are many more brands that can fit into your price range. Pens are always handy and can be a bit more special to use one that has been gifted.

Unisex:

1. Fitbit: Fitbits are great for everyone. Especially if they are interested with becoming fit for the new year. There are also so many styles and colours for everyone and one that could possibly fit the budget. I got my mum one last year and she loved it.

2. Suitcase: Suitcases are great if you are heading off on holidays soon. Such a great idea to buy your loved one a new suitcase and maybe even fill it with a few travel essentials!!

3. Headphones: Headphones are always a great idea... Enough said.

4. Fragrances: There are some great fragrances out there, even some unisex ones like Escentric Molecules Molecule 01 or CK2.

5. Portable Charger: Super great for those people who are always on the go. Portable chargers are always good for those tech geeks or busy workers. 

Handmade:

1. Coupon book: Always super cute if you are on a budget. This is also great if you often get bored with your partner, just pull out the book and use a coupon!! 

2. DIY Photo Calender - I think this is such a cute idea to give someone special in your life. You could even do this with all your gifts! It's also a great idea for a last minute gift!! Here's one that I absolutely adored -  http://indiecrafts.craftgossip.com/2016/01/04/diy-instax-photo-calendar/

3. Bath Bombs: Believe it or not, bath bombs are actually super easy to make. There are so many recipes on Pinterest which will help you out with creating your own!!

4. Dream Catchers: Such a gorgeous and personal gift for your friends. You can also make it really personal and special for them. It is also a really great gift idea if you have forgotten a present and need to get one ASAP, without it costing too much.

5. Coffee Scrubs: AMAZING GIFT IDEA. It can also be used for anyone. Again there are so many recipes for this and if you make a big batch and just package them beautifully, it can look like you spent loads of money and time for those special people. Also really great as a last-minute gift which isn't too expensive.

So, there is a few ideas for gifts that you can get for your loved ones.

I swear everyone and their mother have been wearing chokers and neckties recently, and it has become a huge trend in fashion.

Recently, Perth girls created the brand @TajaAus where they started their own necktie and choker brand.

I love TajaAus because, their chokers and neckties are super affordable, they are handmade, Australian owned and are unique. Today I wanted to share my favourite products EVER with you all! I've included some beauty products and just miscellaneous products too! I'm so excited for you all to see what products I've been loving for so long, hope you enjoy!!


Lush Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub ‣ This has been one of my favourite products for years! I've been through so many of these containers it's ridiculous. I love this products because it is such a good exfoliant for the face and body. I usually use this once a week to get rid of all the dead skin on my face area in particular. It leaves my skin feeling so smooth and fresh afterwards! Highly recommend this one!

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub ‣ I am obsessed with this product! Most people surely would've heard about this product as it's probably one of the most talked about products from Lush. I use this once a week or before a major event just to make sure those lips are looking luscious. This basically works as an exfoliant for your lips.

Bondi Sands Tan Foam in Dark ‣ When am I not talking about this product! This is my favourite tanning product ever. I love the smooth application of this product, which it doesn't leave you looking streaky and how it looks afterwards, the colour is so natural so it doesn't leave you orange!

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation (Matte + Poreless) in 220 ‣ I love this product! I was actually recommended this by one of my good friends, Taylor. I have quite an oily face and I have quite a few pores. I find with this product that my pores disappear and I'm not having to powder my face constantly throughout the day to keep it looking matte. I love how this products works with my skin!

Kara Eyelashes in S4, 415 ‣  Omg. These eyelashes are life. I'm obsessed. They are super duper cheap too! I love how these are such quality for the price and they look amazing. The 415 are amazing, I love these for festivals and events where you want your eyelashes looking on fleek. The S4 are a great lash for everyday use, I love using these for day events where you want a little bit of lash but not too much.

White Mimco Purse ‣ I got this a few years ago for my birthday and I've used it ever since. I love white so it goes perfectly with every outfit. I love just chucking it in a bag or using it on it's own. I don't know how but it fits so many things for such a little purse! This is perfect for clubbing or everyday use. I am never without it!

Belt from Princess Polly ‣ I love this belt! This belt is the best to chuck on an outfit to spice it up! And it was a pretty reasonable price too for such good quality! I am forever wearing this belt.

White Pumps ‣ Not going to lie, the main reason I got these is because Ariana Grande was rocking them all last year. But I've grown to absolutely love them! They are so comfy and make any outfit look so classy. These are probably my most worn heel out of my collection.

Mac Velvet Teddy ‣ Who doesn't love this lipstick. This is Mac's most popular product ever since Kylie Jenner was seen wearing it.

Mac Ariana Grande Viva Glam Lipstick ‣ This is quite a recent purchase for me but I had another lipstick in a similar shade for Sportsgirl - Runaway which I used to wear constantly but it is unfortunetly not being restocked ever. But because the Ariana Grande one is so similar I decided to add this in!

Mac Lipliner Boldly Bare ‣ I love this lip liner! A lot of people tend to lean towards Spice or Whirl but I prefer this one. It is quite a natural shade for my lip colour and it look so natural on. I love wearing this on it's own sometimes just because it's a beautiful shade!

Keeping Up With The Kardashians ‣ This is undoubtably my favourite TV show in the world. I love the Kardashians of course and so do many other people! I think they are amazing, and any opinions on them can remain your own. But I love them!

Today I have some exciting products that I have been loving all month to share with you all!

 ‣ Nude BYS Palette : I am so impressed with this palette. This palette was only $15 from Kmart and is a dupe for the Naked palette from Urban Decay. As in the Urban Decay range there are 3 of these palettes, and I am yet to get the rest of them! I love how pigmented the colours are, they are so similar to the Urban Decay palette. The only down fall to this palette is the shades are quite powdery so you have to be aware before you put them on, but they have shown amazing results!

 ‣ Becca Champagne Pop Highlighter : This highlighter is amazing! Jaclyn Hill did such an amazing job on this! It is such a pigmented highlight but it is so beautiful. Because I am obsessed with highlighting, this is an amazing product to help you glow! Possibly the best highlight that I own. Definitely a must in your makeup collection.

 ‣ Skirt : I have never seen something as beautiful as this skirt. It is something that I would never have thought I would wear but when I received it I was in love! I honestly wouldn't take it off for a week! It is so comfy and the material is such great quality. IN LOVE!

 ‣ Adidas Originals : If you know me you know I love my white shoes. Literally have too many white shoes! So why not add these beauties to my collection. These are super comfy and are so easy to just be thrown on for any outfit and they make you look amazing and like you have put so much effort into getting ready! Honestly so obsessed. I was tossing up with these shoes for a while just because they are quite pricey but now I finally have them I couldn't be happier ahah.

 ‣ Journal : Omg this journal is so cute. It has little doggies printed on the cover and each page is printed with dogs on it too! I use this book to keep track of my spending, so it isn't a journal as such. But it is just so cute!
 ‣ Unfortunately, I got this journal at my local post office but the brand of this is Paper Pocket and was $14.95.

 ‣ Formula 10.0.6 Face Mask : I have no idea why but I have been so obsessed with face masks. And this brand is the best ones that I have found and that don't cost a ridiculous amount! When I use this face mask, I can feel it working as it tingles my skin, which I love. And after I take it off it makes my face feel so smooth and rejuvenated. And btw, this only cost $1.99!

 ‣ Quay Sunglasses : Okay, I have been wearing these shades non stop too. I think these have been in a few blog posts of mine too but, I don't care I love them! They are so cool because they are see through and have the mirrored lens. Beware, though these are quite big so they won't suit everyone.  ‣ Mimco Purse : This wallet was an impulse buy ahha. It is quite expensive but it is amazing! I have never seen a bigger wallet in my life. It holds everything! This wallet looks so classy and with the right outfit this could be an evening wallet. It would also be amazing for travelling, it would be so easy for holding plane tickets. I love this wallet. Omg.

 ‣ I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here (Australian version) : OKAY, I may be a little obsessed with this show! I love reality TV and DJ Havana Brown so this show is perfect for me. 12 Summer Essentials ☀︎ | Shann0nRenae

Hello lovelies,

Aside from air con and cool drinks allowing me to survive another ridiculous Perth summer, I've decided to tell you about a few essentials of mine for the summertime. There's a few beauty products and clothing items so enjoy!

 Starting out with the beauty and makeup essentials!

I obviously HAD to include deodorant. This is my favourite deodorant in the whole wide world, and I am yet to find anything better than this! This is the Dove Go Fresh Cucumber & Green Tea Scented deodorant. I love this because it is such a fresh scent and it almost moisturises your armpits. The amount of bottles I've been through this is ridiculous.

Another favourite of mine this month is face masks. I'm really not too sure how I randomly got into face masks again but I did! I think these are perfect for the summer because they cool your face down and they help your skin while you're at it! This face mask is just a $3 one from Kmart , which work surprisingly well. I also use another one that is from Coles called the Freeman Facial Avocado & Oatmeal Clay mask but of course you could make one yourself for fun too!

Another thing I literally cannot live without is Chapstick! I honestly don't know why my lips are always so chapped in summer but I am always carrying 100 chapsticks during this time of year especially! The one I have is just the original Chapstick which I picked up from Coles.

 A makeup item I have been reaching for all summer is this primer! My friend Taylor actually got me this for Christmas so I'm guessing you can get this from Priceline?? But the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Primer is the best, this makes my makeup stay on all day without it drooping down my face!

Keeping on the topic of makeup my favourite palette in the last few weeks has been this Chi Chi Sunkissed Palette which is available from Myer. Taylor actually got this again for me, cause I was complaining about not having enough orangey tones in my eyeshadow collection. I love these colours cause they easy to blend and can give you a glowy finish if you use the right colours!

Since December, I have literally been wearing the same sunglasses until now! These are my favourite sunglasses ever. Not going to lie, these were an impulse buy but I'm so happy I brought them! These are the Quay China Doll Sunglasses which I brought from White Fox Boutique. These are great because they go with almost every outfit ever!

The perfume I have been wearing lately is the Zara Women Fruity perfume. My boyfriend got me this for my birthday along with another Zara perfume which I've already finished! This is an amazing perfume for summer because it's such a lightweight perfume and it's not too strong!

Now the clothing items!

Firstly, the things I've used most are sports crop tops. Holy moly, I've been using these just to sleep in because of how hot the Perth nights have been! They make me not wake up sweating as much as I would be wearing a proper shirt or PJ's. I just got these 2 from Kmart (P.S these aren't the only 2 I own).

Who could forget bathers for summer? I recently bought these Triangl bathers. I love how reliable Triangl bathers are, they are well worth the money. And how cute are the new designs?? I got these ones because they are super girly and I loveee them!

Oh my goodness! One thing I've been wearing non stop in the summer are denim skirts. This white one is my favourite one ever which I bought from White Fox Boutique and I am in love! I love how easy these are to just chuck on but they look so put together.

This leads me to my next clothing item which is pretty self explanatory in summer. This is crop tops. These are the best type of top in summer.
The one in this picture is from Cotton On. Crop tops are amazing because they are so easy to be put together to be dressed up or can even be dressed down.

The last item I have are these shoes! UGH. I love these. These sandals are from rubi shoes and I think they were about $20. I was so happy to get these on Christmas because I didn't have any sandals like this in my shoe collection. I had to get white of course because it's my favourite colour ever but these were such a buy and I've already got my moneys worth in these shoes!

5 Vegan Beauty Products I'm Obessed With | Shann0nRenae

Hello and welcome back to my blog!!

Today I have an exciting post for you all!

Let me start off by saying I am not a vegan, however I choose to use products that are vegan and that fight animal cruelty. I just feel that these are just better for my skin but I also love supporting anything to do with animals.

Of course not everything I own is 100% vegan but I do try my best to buy as much as I can that are actually vegan.

So, let's get into the post!

 I decided to do this today as many bloggers do include vegan products but don't do a whole entire post on it. So, I just thought I'd share with you all my favourite Vegan products ever!

Let's start off with Bondi Sands tan. I'm not 100% sure that this is vegan but I did look online a couple of months back and it said it was. I thought I would include this in here as it's literally one of my favourite products ever. Bondi Sands gives me the most natural tan ever that lasts a while. I either get the mousse, spray, the lotion or the gradual tanning lotion and they all work so well! I love this product also because it is just so affordable. I buy mine at Priceline but they are also available online here.

Everyone knows that Lush is a vegetarian company but not all their products are 100% vegan friendly. This product however is vegan. This is one of my favourite facial scrubs of all time, I've gone through so many tubs. It is however quite an intense scrub so I would steer away from this if you have sensitive skin. I love how this really gets rid of the dirt and dead skin off your face and how it leaves your face feeling so soft. I use this face scrub once a week or before a big event and it makes me feel so much better. This is available here.

The next product is one of my WHOLE family's all time favourites!  It is the Original Source shower gel. I LLLLOOOOVVVEEE this product because it is so nice and smells so yummy! I love the Vanilla & Raspberry scent but my brother opts for the Lime or the Mint scents (which leaves you feeling tickly under your armpits). These products are 100% vegan and there is nothing I could ever complain about with this product and they are so affordable! I usually buy mine from Coles but any of these scents are available here.


The Hello Hair Mask. Lord. I am obsessed. This is again 100% vegan and only uses natural ingredients , of course. It makes my hair so so so shiny! At first I was really skeptical about this product as it is super duper oily and I was like ehhh putting it in my hair, but honestly never has my hair looked so good until putting this in. I use this before any special occasions and every time I use it someone always compliments my hair - I kid you not.

The last items are these Zoeva brushes! I have one set already that I bought when I was first getting into higher end makeup that aren't vegan. And I said to myself when I was looking for another set that I would only buy the Vegan Set. But I was on Sephora Australia one day and these beauties popped up so I bought them! These are 100% vegan, I made sure! And I love them. They are quite pricy but these last so so long and the quality is amazing. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between my non-vegan Zoeva brushes. These particular Bamboo ones are sold out. I can go through this whole set if any of you would like to see that.

10 Last Minute Valentine's Day Date Ideas ♥︎ | Shann0nRenae

 Hello Lovelies and Welcome back!

With Valentine's Day literally a few days away from us, I decided to write a post on a few ideas that you could do if you've left the date planning to the last minute and can't get a booking anywhere!
I thought I'd start off with the most basic ones that many people may call 'cliche'. But I'm sure if you've left it until the last minute any type of date will do!

Netflix and Chill ♥︎ This is a date many couples will choose this Valentine's day. You can make it a little bit more special by buying each other a gift, getting cuddly and cosy without the stress of getting dressed up to go anywhere. This is such an easy date because you could even order take out and get it delivered or go pick it up! (Movie Marathon!!!)

Beach Picnic ♥︎ I think this is the sweetest thing ever. Going down to the beach to watch the sunset or even going on a walk along the beach before you set up the picnic. Just making sure you really spend time with that person! This is so easy and it won't cost a fortune! Just take out or even a pre made meal is sure to tickle your loved one fancy! This date is nice and relaxed and you don't even need to get each other gifts if you don't want to! (This could even be a breakfast on the beach watching the sunrise).

Home Made Meal & Service ♥︎  This one is for all the boys out there (this is obviously not limited to boys though)! Tell your lady to come over dressed nice and make her a meal, give her some wine, be at her service! Really spoil this gal. Even surprise her by getting her a small gift that's hidden somewhere among all the food.

Hike ♥︎ If you are quite a sporty couple go out on a hike or a walk. This is so fun because you get to exercise without even feeling bored, like you would at the gym. Find a nice hiking route or just any route around the city or the water. You could even go to lunch afterwards or just hang out.

A Cooking Lesson ♥︎ Give your lover a cooking lesson. Have a bit of fun. And if that means getting messy in the kitchen, then so be it. All you would need is ingredients for a meal or dessert you're making, but this is one of the easiest ways to make memories and get your fiancee smiling and having fun.

Take Your Lover Shopping ♥︎ If you haven't brought your date anything and you know you need to, take them shopping! Set a limit equal to their gift to you or a bit higher and let them choose what they want. You could make a day out of it by going to one store then getting lunch then going to another. This is so easy and if it's a girl, it will be so easy to spend hours with her ahaha.

Do An Activity They Enjoy ♥︎ This is such a cool idea because it shows the other person in your relationship, things that you do in your spare time. Take her to the golf course if thats what you like and then go have a massage if that is what she enjoys. The options are endless.

Rent a Hotel Room In Your Hometown ♥︎ I love this idea because it's like you are travelling but without going anywhere. Rent a hotel room, go out for a day sightseeing, pretend you are tourists! I know my own boyfriend lives in our hometown and has hardly seen any places so I'm always taking him there.

Plan A Holiday ♥︎ Tell her she needs to take so much time off work (whatever dates and however long you are planning to travel for). Then surprise her with a ticket to the place you are taking them to that you know they've wanted to go to forever! I think this is such a cool idea, because then you get to spend time with that person and you can make a "Valentine's Day" over in that place. (This also doesn't need to be a long holiday it could just be a few days out of town or whatever.)

Group Date ♥︎ This is perfect for new couples or couples who don't really celebrate the day but want to do something. I was thinking rounding up the gang together going for a picnic , having a meal at someone's house or even going out clubbing ! I love this idea because then you are spending time with everyone you love!!!

It's Better in The Hamptons ~ Peachy Pt. 2 of 2 | Shann0nRenae

 Hello Again!!!

This is part 2 of my two part blog post! If you haven't checked out my outfit post, it shall be right under this one :).

For this look, I wanted to keep my makeup quite natural but wanted to add that pop of colour in the lip, that was quite subtle.Of course this look could definitely be defined as your own with your choice of colour. (Tbh, it was quite hard to opt for another colour that wasn't Mac's velvet teddy).

I wanted quite a defined contour and bronzer
especially on my cheeks, rather than a highlighted look.

I know a lot of my readers may be on a budget, so I wanted to keep this makeup look on a drugstore kind of budget but also add a small amount of more expensive products I have in my collection that you could find dupes for.

It's Better In The Hamptons ~ Peachy Pt. 1 of 2 | Shann0nRenae

Hello Lovelies! And welcome back to my blog! I know it's been quite a while since I posted but you'll have to forgive me as all my time has been on events such as Graduation, Christmas and New Years!

Today for you guys, I have part one of a special two part blog post. Basically, its an outfit and makeup post but i have just separated them so there's 2 posts! So look out for that!

I wanted to include some colour but also make it basic enough for you to incorporate different colours. I wanted to make it casual enough for the summer and make it easy enough to be able to be customised to your own style.

I think the top is just the right amount of brightness to go with the look, and it also reminds me of a 90's kind of movie like Napolean Dynamite.If I was opting for another colour I'd stick with a more washed out colour. 

I choose black jeans as black goes with most colours. The rips in them and a ankle cut off , which just makes the look even more casual and edgy but even without rips I think this look would look equally as cool.

The heels are just an option! I think this look could look cool with some solid colour sneakers too! I decided to choose a basic nude colour to focus peoples attention on the tops colour.
